Location wedding : Anne + Martin
Anne and Martin are the outdoor type. You know the kind - the ones you see returning home on Sunday morning from a 20k bike ride just as you're reaching for another hit of the 'snooze' button. I admire those people and wish i had even half that amount of will power on a sunday morning. So what more fitting location than a bush wedding. Anne, originally from Ireland, fell in love with her Australian Husband whilst over here and decided to stay and adopt Australia as her new home. I can honestly say I have never shot a wedding like this, the beautiful location was just near the Hunter valley and well worth the 3 hour drive. They kept everything really casual and fun right down to the BBQ dinner (how Australian). The guests were invited to bring a musical instrument and camp overnight, I couldn’t think of a better way to top off the wedding than with a giant bonfire, a glass of wine and some of her super talented musical friends performing some impromptu songs. Thanks guys for allowing me to be part of such a magical day
Location weddding : Claud + Julian
So Claud is my best friend, i have known her since year 3 at school. We weren't best friends at first ( isn’t that always the way) but later in our school life we ended up becoming best friends and now someone that I couldn’t imagine not being in my life. So when she asked me to be maid of honour at her Queenstown wedding I was elated. I don’t think she ever asked me to shoot her wedding I think she just always knew that of course I wouldn’t want anyone else to shoot it. I know what you’re thinking how can you shoot a wedding and also be in the bridal party, but as luck would have it her now husbands brother is a fantastic photographer so we kind of worked in a team. I shot the getting ready stuff then he took over at the ceremony and then we both shot the post ceremony shots on the beautiful Jacks point gold course.
Here is the result of what happened that day, so as you can see I am missing any ceremony shots but now you know why! It was an amazing day and every detail was perfect. In fact I now want to have my wedding there too.

Location wedding : Kelli + Sam's wedding
I have known Kelli since i was 19 years old. We bonded over a terrible job in a call centre. I was actually there when she first met her now husband. She came running back from lunch saying she had met a cute boy on level 3 and that he had asked for her number, I asked if she was going to go out with him, I don’t think she was sure at first. Sure enough 10 years and 2 beautiful children later I found myself again with Kelli shooting her tropical wedding in Fiji. Nothing made me happier than seeing a great friend of mine finally marry and make her little family complete. She told me she can’t wait to be a wife and sure enough the next day her name was already changed on Facebook! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Burnett.
